Birthday BASH!

15 01 2010

It was a hectic few days, as Wendy & I scrambled to get Jay & Jasz’ birthday party up! Presents to buy, food to order, decor et cetera!

But it went on so smoothly. Thank you to all the many uncles and aunties who came to celebrate with our two princes!

Of course, I had to get that Kodak moment for the two of them.

Here’s Eljasz!

IMG_5151

And my handsome prince…

Individually they look fine. But try to take a shot of them together… That’s a whole different challenge!

IMG_5130

Jay more obsessed with his helium balloon…

IMG_5133

… with enticed Jasz to try to grab it as well…

IMG_5140

… so we brought Jasz’ helium balloon over…

IMG_5137

… which then resulted in Jay snatching Jasz’ balloon.

The result? Only time we can have a good photo is when the Mommies are there to rein in our princes and princesses.

Awesomely fun day! Will post more about the food in my own blog.

Almost 2!

6 01 2010

My little prince is almost 2 years old!

We were brainstorming how to celebrate this milestone, but decided that for this year, we will keep it pretty lowkey. So, we’ll be throwing a small party at the Nursery, for all his friends!

And since Eljasz’ birthdate is a week apart, Wendy and I decided to combine our sons’ party, and have 1 mega birthday bash for our princes!

Jay Jasz

Unfortunately, our two princes weren’t co-operative this morning, as we tried to get a nice shot of them both! Haha!

Looking forward to the par-tee!

Julian’s Birthday Party

6 12 2009

It can be such a headache organizing kids’ birthday parties.

But Serene did a rockin’ job with her son Julian’s 4th birthday party at The Polliwogs! Jayvon was invited, and we were excited to go!

Here’s a look at their facilities…

A huge outdoor pirate ship bouncy! (Jay loves these bouncies, but didn’t get the chance to hop on this time)

And a big indoor play area as well!

The hardcore bloggers that we are… Meet the Tays!

IMG_4640

And the games begin! Meet Daddy Ivan and Daddy Robin, who were game enough to, well… play the game! And the game was really fun… but Jayvon’s not at the age to really play well with others. So… He wandered off and discovered the buffet line.

Here’s Jay, enjoying his yummy fried noodles and apple juice… while the party was going on. He was so unaffected by the ‘noise’!

IMG_4699

When it came to the cake-cutting time, I dragged Jay over see this gorgeous (and very yummy) cake! Here’s Jules with his daddy! Every kid was crowding over this cake, and couldn’t stop pointing at it!

IMG_4681

And at the end, it was present time… from the birthday boy to every child!

IMG_4702

IMG_4704

Serene prepared INDIVIDUAL gifts for each kid! Talk about excellence!

After the party, it was back to the playground! And the kids had a blast!

Happy Birthday Justyn!

22 05 2009

IMG00302-20090521-1337

I may be watching too much of Playhouse Disney Channel.

When I think “Happy Birthday!” the song that comes to mind is not the usual “Happy birthday to yooooou…”

Rather it is the Playhouse Disney Channel’s birthday rendition that rings incessantly in my head. “Have a magical wonderful….. playhouse disney birth-h-h-h-day!” Anyone got the full lyrics? Hahaha!

Anyways, I digress (as usual).

It was Justyn’s first birthday yesterday! Woo-hoo! Congrats to Ps Yong & Val!

They threw a huge party in the office nursery, with a cute Bear cake (as above), balloons, streamers and most importantly, good food.

Jay was sleeping and I couldn’t let him miss out on the action. So, I went into the sleeping room and *ahem* asked if he would like to come out to play. And tickled him a few times when he didn’t appear to have heard me. Hahaha! As a treat, I shared a whole KFC chicken drumstick and mashed potatoes with him!

IMG00298-20090521-1307

He lurved the food, the balloons and the many people crowding around! As you can see, he had this groovy just-out-of-bed look!

After food comes some photo-taking!

IMG00309-20090521-1405

With the birthday boy himself!

I spotted Keira in the corner and dragged my boy to sit by her to have that Kodak moment!

IMG00313-20090521-1407

“Huh? What are YOU doing here?”

IMG00314-20090521-1407

“What am I doing here?”

IMG00315-20090521-1407

“Jayvon out.”

So hard to get a good shot…

But here’s our parting shot…

IMG_2877

Jay and all his frens! Cute babies and cute babes! Haha!

First Birthday Mini-Celebration

24 01 2009

23 January 2008 marked Jay’s arrival and introduction into this world and our lives.

Last Sunday was the mega-party with all his friends and relatives, so Nic & I decided to bring him over to Parkway Parade after work on his actual birthday to Swensen’s – for their Firehouse Cake!

bday

As you can see, he loves his ice cream & balloon treat!!!

As a treat, we also took him to sit on a kiddie ride!sesame street

Happy 1st Birthday, Jayvon!

I can’t believe it…

But my prince turns ONE today! :)

Will be bringing him out for a good dinner later! ;)

Jayvon’s Birthday Party

19 01 2009

After weeks of preparations, Jayvon finally managed to celebrate his first-year birthday mark at the Aloha Loyang Resorts on Sunday.

Loads of friends, family & colleagues came by to celebrate the occasion with us. We are so blessed & warmed by your love!

Here’re some pictures in case you missed any of it!

crowd

The lovely surroundings of the party – we booked the Garden Bungalow, and there was a big garden just behind the BBQ area, where our friends congregated and sat around & enjoyed the food!

cake

Check out the Birthday Cake! It was as nice as I anticipated! I wanted to have a 3D cake design. Most of the websites I went to offered 3D cakes, but at a staggeringly high price (which I felt wasn’t really worth it, cos Jay himself won’t be as appreciative). So this Coffee Bean cake – weighing in at a sumo-worthy 6kg and was made of banana marble rather than the usual vanilla sponge – was a nice compromise!

bubbles

One of the highlights of the party – playing with bubbles! Jay could hardly keep his eyes or fingers off the hundreds of pretty bubbles!

Here’re some other random photos…

Aunty Jac & Jay: His expression here is priceless!

Jay & Mommy!

With the three wise men…  As they try to get him to s-m-i-l-e for the camera! See the bed? I got my domestic helper to bring along an extra bedsheet from home to put over the bed at the chalet room! Felt so much more hygienic and comfortable! Of course, we brought along two bolsters and two pillows… Anything to make Jay feel at ease and have a good night’s sleep!

IMG_1733

With Mommy’s two good colleagues – Aunty Evan & Aunty Jerbie!

IMG_1771

Samuel was absolutely enthralled with the ship cake too! See? Caught in the act of stealing the candies off the top of the cake! Haha!

Well, all in all, it was a fun time. Jay thoroughly enjoyed being the very CENTRE of attention! Oh, and all the presents! Wow – he was excited (hmm… but I think his cousins were more excited than he was though! Haha!)

Nic & I? Dead tired. :P Looking forward to my day of rest tomorrow!
