JAMs Easter Service

3 04 2010

I know! I was supposed to bring Jayvon for the Children’s Church Eggciting Easter Service, but plans got derailed by Daddy! Haha! He was songleading in JAMs, and so we decided it would be a good chance to orientate Jayvon to JAMs as well.

What is JAMs? It stand for Jesus for All Minds, City Harvest Church’s outreach to the intellectually challenged.

EGG-citing Easter!

I am pumped!

I will be bringing Jayvon for his first full-scale totally-awesome Children’s Church service tomorrow, 11 a.m. at Singapore Expo!

I am so looking forward to it!

Normally he attends playgroup at church, but due to his age, he hasn’t been to the full-fledged CCH service yet. But it will also be a “play-date” of sorts for him, cos I’ve arranged with his friends Justyn & Jaelyn to come by too!

It’s gonna be an eggciting Easter!

Suntec Nursery

16 01 2010

One of the many things I am very thankful for, is Sun’s foresight in setting out to create a larger nursery within the office, for staff to drop off their kids. If memory serves me right, I think it was almost 5 years back when we crafted out plans to expand the existing Nursery by about three times. From a single room to “house” all the toddlers, to the current space which offers two sleeping rooms – one for babies and another for toddlers, a separate play and another TV room.

As you can see, I am really blessed! And so is Jay, spending his time in such a warm and loving environment.

And did I mention colorful?? Haha! It is such a happy place, even staff with no kids in there love to pop by to see the kids and play with them.

This is the play room – and yes, that’s a gigantic SHIP!

It is one of his favourite viewing spots!

Toys, toys and more toys!

Well, it marks a new chapter in Jay’s life as he enters the “alumni” of children walking through the doors of the Suntec Nursery. While I am excited for him to begin school proper, I am sure he will miss this place, and all his friends and the aunties who adore him and shower so much love on him!

Drum-drum-dummer-drum!

Jayvon at his drums – Daddy’s Christmas present to him!

Oh, and that hat he is wearing?

It is his very first handicraft, made during the playgroup session in church – and he proudly wore the hat the entire day after church that day!

Fun Play At Kids@Play

13 04 2009

Over the Easter weekend, Jayvon & I were at Expo from Friday to Sunday.

So, in a bid to keep him happy and entertained through the long hours there, we spent a fair part of each day at the Kids@Play area in Hall 8. Now, Jay’s a little bit too young to officially play at that fantastic area, but that doesn’t stop him from trying!

Check out this huge playground!

There’re small rockers…

and funky slides…

and it runs three storeys high…

with Jay’s great love – the ball pit…

But he is often stuck on the outside, longingly staring in.

So he has to make do with the smaller Little Tikes playground beside. And boy, does he love this!

Oh, and here he is – running straight at my camera! Heads up!

Jayvon And His Engine

11 04 2009

What an eventful Good Friday!

I took Jayvon to the SME Fiesta Trade Fair before the 5.30 p.m. Easter service, and we had such great fun there!

For Mommy, it meant a few good buys! Haha! I went to Cindy’s CreativeMoodz booth, and took advantage of an Instant Eye Lash Fix – finally learning how to put on falsies! I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do it, but never figured how to do it well! Took back a small stash of make up goodies as well. I’m going back to the Trade Fair later today, to support Yvonne’s Miss VonJo booth as well. A little birdie told me a big stash of her new clothes are coming in today! :)

For Jayvon? He had a fantabulous time too!

His little heart was captured by a train ride! I was a bit hesitant to let him take the ride at first. “What if he falls? What if he wants to stand? What if…..” You know, the usual scaredy-mommy thoughts. But I finally relented cos he was tugging away at my arm. He had a blast!!! So much fun that when Debbie saw him, she too wanted to ride (she was reluctant at first)! Jay was sooooooooooooo “high” on being the train conductor!
